Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Microsoft global customer service number. Starting in Windows 10, a Windows app can send requests to Usbser.sys by using the Windows.Devices.SerialCommunication namespace. It defines Windows Runtime classes that can use to communicate with a USB CDC device through a serial port or some abstraction of a serial port. USB D- → Nucleo D10 (PA11) USB D+ → Nucleo D2 (PA12) USB GND → Nucleo GND; USB GND → USB Shield (don’t know if this is necessary, but it makes me feel better) Also, this is super important: remove the jumper that comes default on your Nucleo board! It bridges D2 and GND and will short out our D+ line if left in place. Download the latest ST-LINK/V2-1 firmware upgrade. Extract the archive and run the STLinkUpgrade.exe program. Plug the Nucleo board to your PC using a standard USB cable and wait until the USB enumeration is completed. Press the Connect button. When the ST-LINK/V2 driver is.

Introduction

SITUATION:
  • ST-LINK - OBSOLETE
  • ST-LINK-v2 - ACTIVE
  • ST-LINK-v2/ISOL - ACTIVE

The ST-LINK/V2 is an in-circuit debugger and programmer for the STM8 and STM32 microcontroller families.
The single wire interface module (SWIM) and JTAG and Serial Wire Debugging (SWD) interfaces are used to communicate with any STM8 or STM32 microcontroller located on an application board.
STM8 applications use the USB full speed interface to communicate with STMicroelectronic’s ST Visual Develop (STVD) or ST Visual Program (STVP) software.
STM32 applications use the USB full speed interface to communicate with Atollic, IAR, Keil, TASKING, etc, integrated development environments.
ST-LINK v2 replaces the ST-LINK.
It supports all the features of ST-LINK plus some additional featuresat the same price. ( The price is arround : 25€)

Grupo Nucleo Driver Download For Windows 10 64

Up to now, Dec.2015, there are some problems to install the SW drivers for using HW tools under Windows 8/8.1 and 10.
Below there are some useful links that explain how to resolve this problems.

  • Driver worked well in Win 7 until I updated to Win 10. I didn't do a clean install of Windows 10, just an upgrade from 7 to 10. Plugged in a fresh Pico and saw the red light flash. I opened up the web IDE tried the normal way to connect and it said Connect failed. I tried a restart but same thing. So I checked Device manager and noticed:

    1 Attachment

  • Have you tried just re-installing the drivers? I know people are using it with Windows 10 and don't have problems, so maybe the drivers got disabled in the upgrade process?

  • @Gordon Strange, everything seems to be functioning correctly now. My USB cable is most likely not functioning properly.

  • @Gordon I spoke to soon. I switch cables and USB ports and I am still having the same issue. This will also be my second time reinstalling the drivers.

    EDIT
    Oops I forgot one crucial step: Unzip the file, run the executable, and then go to C:Program Files (x86)STMicroelectronicsSoftwareVirtual comport driver in Windows Explorer and double-click either dpinst_amd64.exe for 64 bit systems, or dpinst_x86.exe for 32 bit.

    Everything appears to be functioning properly again :-)

  • Great! glad you got it sorted - the drivers are pretty strange like that... I'm tempted to just distribute them outside the ZIP file :)

  • Красавчик! е*ался при настройке на виндовс xp, по финалу взлетело. Зашел в папку с установленным драйвером и дважды клацнул C:Program FilesSTMicroelectronicsSoftwareVirtual COM Port Driverdpinst_x86

  • Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.

    Tips:

    • Create headers by underlining text with or ----
    • To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
    • To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
    • Embed images by entering:
      ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png)
      That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
    • * Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
    • 1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot
    • > Quote text by starting lines with >
    • Mention another user by @username
    • For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
      ```
      Your code goes here
      ```
      Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
    • If you upload more than 5 files we will display all attachments as thumbnails.
